Getting Married in Hocking Hills

Wedding License in Hocking Hills

The first step to getting married in Hocking Hills is to get a wedding license. A few things to keep in mind are the requirements for a wedding in Ohio:

• Residents of Ohio but not Hocking County need a marriage license in the county of residence. These are good for 60 days
• Non-residents of Ohio must get a license at Hocking County Probate Court located at 1 East Main Street in Logan, Ohio
• If one person is from Hocking County, Probate Court is the place to obtain a license

To get the actual license, an ID is required along with a Social Security card. Divorce decrees or copies of the deceased spouse’s death certificate are required to issue the license. Both partners must be present to get the license. Only cash is accepted. The fee is $60. 

State Park Licenses

Getting married in Hocking Hills is a dream for many. One requirement to keep in mind is obtaining a state park license for state parks including Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, and Cedar Falls. Any state park requires a permit that may require a letter addressed to the park manager with the date and time of the wedding and preferred location.
