Washboard Fest
Father’s Day weekend is a great time to get away and celebrate with family. Downtown Logan comes alive with the celebration of an ancient instrument familiar to the hills of Ohio. Home of the Columbus Washboard Company, the only remaining washboard manufacturing company in the US, this instrument was created by people when money was tight in rural America. Listen to some eclectic music and have some fun at this family-friendly festival.
Music in the Park
Any good Hocking Hills music festival wouldn’t be complete without the great outdoors as a backdrop with a mix of music from all styles and genres to please every musical palate. A mix of bluegrass, rock, swing, and more are played downtown Logan at the corner of Market and Main every Friday in the summer. Have a drink, grab a nibble or a picnic basket and join in the free family fun. Starts first week in June and ends August 12.
Nelsonville Parade of the Hills
Festivals are all the rage during summers in the hills. Displays of art, concessions, and a carnival atmosphere create a fun place to enjoy time with loved ones at the Nelsonville Parade of the Hills. Watch a pie contest, check out street games, or watch free entertainment on 2 stages. Parades abound with this festival including the Thursday Bicycle Parade.
Duck Creek Log Jam
The Duck Creek Log Jam is part of a classic music festival taking place in the rolling hills. A family-owned music festival with loud, boisterous music and fun atmosphere. Spread out in the hills, avoid long lines and enjoy a simple time listening to Bluegrass, Folk, Roots and Rock music with high energy performances to get your foot stomping and moving to the beat. Takes place mid-June.
Hippie Fest
Join this family-run festival that brings people together in a celebration of peace and hope. Everyone is invited for a groovy time exploring artists, crafters, food vendors and more. Live music is a feature of this festival with entertainment for all ages. Each year the tour draws visitors from all over to experience a relaxing atmosphere in a chill environment with other music lovers.
