The Circleville Pumpkin Show takes place October 19-22, 2022. Admission is free to the public with the downtown streets of Circleville, Ohio turned into a majestic wonderland. Just 30 miles south of Columbus, the Pumpkin Show offers pumpkins everywhere, including food such as pie and donuts, burgers, and even pizza! Don’t forget to try some pumpkin chili and other goodies on sale.
Giant Pumpkins and Weigh-Offs
One of the main highlights of the Circleville Pumpkin Show is undoubtedly the giant pumpkins that take center stage. Marvel at the sheer size and weight of these colossal gourds as growers compete in the famous Pumpkin Weigh-Offs. Pumpkin growers compete to see who has the largest pumpkins on the land with the previous winner topping off at 1850.5 pounds. There were almost 40 entries for the pumpkin contest last year. Among other things is a Fine Art Show for enthusiasts and lots of locally grown pumpkins, squash, fruit, and produce including pies for the pie eating contest.
